Updated 11/13/23
For the first nearly 70 years of his life author John B. Ruskowski enjoyed summers swimming and fishing in the waters of Loon Lake in the Adirondack Mountains where his grandparents established a lakeshore cottage in 1947. Now residing in Central New York, John looks forward to returning to Chestertown and Loon Lake to share some of the experiences and perspectives that emerged during the summers spent in and on the waters of the lake.
Sometimes practical, sometimes lyrical and even philosophical, the book ultimately explores the remarkable bond that flows between the fish and the fisherman as well as the place that we all share within our natural environment. John will visit the Chestertown Public Library on August 12 at 11:00 AM where he will present selected readings that particularly focus on vignettes of his experiences at Loon Lake.
Note: Copies of John’s recently published book, Fish On! will be on hand for purchase/signing.
